• The seatback can drop backward when the "recline lever"
is not locked.
• To avoid a fall from the seat, always make sure the "recline
lever" is in the locked position before applying weight to
the seatback or arms.
Seatback Adjustment for 22" Reclining Back Seat - The 22 inch
seat has a heavy duty, dual hinge mechanism that allows you
to adjust the seatback from the right or left side. The seatback
release has two modes - one to recline or raise the seatback and
one to release the seatback to allow it to fold forward for storage
or transport.
Adjusting The Recline - To recline the seat from the straight up
position (see Figure 4M below), locate the release lever on the
lower right or left rear of the seat. Pull up on the lever to lock the
seatback in position (see Figure 4N page 38).
If you wish to raise the seatback pull up on the lever and move the
seatback to the desired position. The seatback will stop when it is
straight up.
