Configuring E1 Module
Before configuring E1 module, the system carrier type must be changed to E1
by using 'system carrier-type' command in the configuration terminal mode.
After setting the system carrier type, the system must be reboot to take effect.
The following steps sets a few communication modes and port information for
a E1 interface.

Purpose
Enters the terminal configuration
mode.
Selects a E1 module port.
Sets a circuit ID.
Sets contact information such as
manager's name or number.
Sets an interface description.
Selects a framing mode
Selects a linecode mode
Selects a clock source.
Goes back to the 'Router#'
prompt.
Shows E1 module information.
