How to detach/attach the control panel
iPod operations
_
• You can control the following types of iPods through the
interface adapter.
- iPod with dock connector (3rd Generation)
- iPod with Click Wheel (4th Generation)
- iPodmini
- iPod photo
- iPod nano*l
- iPod video (5th Generation)*2
*1 When you connect the iPod nano to the interface
adapter, be sure to disconnect the headphones;
otherwise, no sound is heard.
*21t is not possible to browse video files on the "Videos"
menu while the iPod is connected to the interface
adapter.
• Ifthe iPod does not play correctly, please update your
iPod software to the latest version. For details about
updating your iPod, visit <http://www.apple.com>.
• When you turn on this unit, the iPod is charged through
this unit.
• While the iPod is connected to this unit, all operations
from the iPod is disabled. Perform all operations from
this unit.
• The text information may not be displayed correctly.
- Some characters such as accented letters cannot be
shown correctly on the display.
- Depends on the condition of communication between
the iPod and the unit.
• If the text information includes more than 11 characters,
it scrolls on the display (see also page 18). This unit can
display up to 40 characters.
Satellite radio operations
_
• You can also connect the JVC SIRIUS PnP (Plug and Play),
using the SIRIUS radio adapter, KS-U1 OOK (not supplied)
to the CD changer jack on the rear.
By turning on/off the power of the unit, you can turn
on/off the JVC SIRIUS PnP. However, you cannot control it
from this unit.
