iPod/iPhone operations
• You can control the following types of iPod/iPhone:
(A) Connected with the USB cable:
- iPod with video (5th Generation)*l, *2, *3
- iPod c1assic*l, *2
- iPod nano *2, *3
- iPod nano (2nd Generation) *2
- iPod nano (3rd Generation)*l, *2
- iPod nano (4th Generation)*l, *2
- iPod touch*l, *2

- iPhone/iPhone 3G*1. *2
(B) Connected with the interface adapter:
- iPod with Click Wheel (4th Generation)
- iPod mini
- iPod photo
- iPod with video (5th Generation)
- iPod classic
- iPod nano
- iPod nano (2nd Generation)
- iPod nano (3rd Generation)
- iPod nano (4th Generation)*4

To watch the video with its audio, connect the iPodl
iPhone using USB Audio and Video cable (KS-UJO, not
supplied).

"iPod MODE"is available,

To listen to the sound in "iPod MODE,"connect the
iPodliPhone using USB Audio and Video cable (KS-
U30, not supplied).

It is notpossible to charge the battery through this
unit.
• If the iPod/iPhone does not play correctly, update
your iPod/iPhone software to the latest version.
For details about updating your iPod/iPhone, visit
<http://www.apple.com>.
• When you turn on this unit, the iPod/iPhone is
charged through the unit.
• The text information may not be displayed correctly.
• The text information scrolls on the monitor. This
unit can display up to 40 characters when using the
interface adapter and up to 128 characters when
using the USB 2.0 cable or USB Audio and Video
cable.
Notice:
When operating an iPod/iPhone, some operations may
not be performed correctly or as intended. In this case,

For the USB connection:
When <Artwork> is set to <On>:
Do not press any buttons during the first 5seconds or
more of playing back any track containing an Artwork*.
It takes 5seconds or more to display an Artwork and no
operations are available while loading it.
