To prevent damage to the Hot Metal Car’s wiring and to prevent short circuits, do Caution! not rotate the drum more than 120 degrees. Like prototypical Hot Metal Cars, your model was not designed to turn upside-down.

Figure 2. Uncoupling tab and uncoupling trigger locations Servicing the lamps our Hot Metal Car is illuminated by two small lamps. During the course of normal oprations, these lamps may require replacement. Lamp replacement should be performed only by an authorized Lionel Service Center. -

Lionel L.L.C. or an authorized Lionel L.L.C. Service Center, together with proof of original purchase will, at the option of Lionel L.L.C., be repaired or replaced, without charge for parts or labor. In the event the defective product cannot be repaired, and a replacement is not available, a refund of the original purchase price will be granted.
