Meaning
Green:
The computer is in standby mode.
Blinking green:
The computer is entering standby mode or hibernation
mode, or is resuming normal operation.
Green:
An Ultrabay Enhanced device is installed and in use.
Blinking green:
An Ultrabay Enhanced device is in the process of being
detached.
Turn off:
An Ultrabay Enhanced device is ready to be attached or
detached.
Note: If you are using Windows 2000, the Ultrabay Enhanced
status indicator does not blink while an Ultrabay Enhanced
device is being detached. Instead, a message box pops up when
the process is completed; then the indicator turns off.
Applicable test
1. Diagnostics --> CPU/Coprocessor
2. Diagnostics --> Systemboard
3. If the docking station or the port replicator is attached to the
ThinkPad computer, undock it. Place the computer on a
horizontal surface, and run Diagnostics --> ThinkPad Devices
--> HDD Active Protection Test.
Note: Do not apply any physical shock to the computer while
the test is running.

1. Diagnostics --> Video Adapter
2. Interactive Tests --> Video
1. Make sure the modem is set up correctly.
2. Replace the modem jack and the modem card in turn, and run
the following tests in Diagnostics --> Communication:
a. Conexant Smart Modem Interrupt
b. Conexant Smart Modem Dialtone
1. Interactive Tests --> Internal Speaker
2. Enter the BIOS Setup Utility and change Serial ATA (SATA)
setting to Compatibility, and run Diagnostics --> Other
Devices --> Analog Devices HDA CODEC Test
