Using the Tuner

You can listen to FM and AM (MW/LW) stations. Stations can be
tuned in manually, automatically, or from preset memory storage.
Before listening to the radio:
Check that the AM loop antenna is correctly connected.
(See page 3).
Fully extend the FM telescopic antenna.

Tuning In a Station
1. Press the TUNER BAND button.
The Band and Frequency you were last tuned to appear on the
display.
Each time you press the button, the band alternates between FM
and AM (MW/LW).

2. Select a station using one of the following
methods.
Manual Tuning

to frequency until you find the station you want.
Auto Tuning

If you press and hold the
more, the frequency changes down, or up, automatically until a
station is found.
Preset Tuning (Possible only after presetting
stations)
Select the desired preset number (displayed as "P XX" on the
display) using the JOG dial or the number keys on the Remote
control. After 1 second the display will show the preset
number's band and frequency.

Band, Frequency, Preset channel
JOG dial: Turn it to the right or left to increase or decrease the
preset number.
Number keys:
To select P 5, press 5.
To select P 15, press +10 then 5.
To select P 20, press +10 once then press 10.
3.Turn the antenna for best reception.
For an FM broadcast, turn the FM telescopic antenna. If reception
is poor, connect an FM outdoor antenna (not supplied) instead of the
FM telescopic antenna. (See page 3.)
For an AM (MW/LW) broadcast, place the AM loop antenna for
good reception (near the window, for example) and turn it to obtain
the best reception.
