Each relay is operated by applying
12 volts to the 0.85 mm² (18 gauge),
light or dark blue control lead
included in the 1.5 m (5 ft) coil under
the instrument panel. An 8.0 mm²
(8 gauge) ground lead is also
provided in the 1.5 m (5 ft) coil.
The total current available through
the 12-volt power supply is
110 amps (1320 watts).
Ignition controlled power and signal
circuits are also included in the
following 1.5 m (5 ft) coil:
A brown, 0.5 mm² (20 gauge)
10 amp fused circuit, hot in
ACC/ACCESSORY and
ON/RUN. The F16 fuse is in
the instrument panel fuse block.
A pink/blue, 0.5 mm² (20 gauge)
10 amp fused circuit, hot
in START and ON/RUN.
The F38 fuse is in the engine
compartment fuse block.
A yellow/black, 0.5 mm²
(20 gauge) park signal from the
Body Control Module (BCM).
The circuit provides switched
power when the transmission is
not in P (Park) and the engine
is running. The electrical load
attached to the park circuit must
not exceed 0.5 amps and is
meant to drive one relay coil.
An orange, 0.5 mm² (20 gauge)
vehicle speed signal
(4,000 pulses/mile) from
the ABS module. Connect
only high impedance load.
A white, 0.3 mm² (22 gauge)
radio mute circuit. The radio
is muted when a ground is
appplied to this circuit.
