Lift and fold the gear lever straight
back, parallel with the seat. It will
come to rest in the folded position.
NOTE! If the lever is not moved
straight back, it may not be able to
travel the full distance.
Locking Gear Lever
To lock the gear lever in place, move it
from the folded position forward until it is
upright. Press down on the knob and twist
clockwise until the knob is lined up straight.
Make sure that the gear lever is securely
locked in position before taking the ve-
hicle on the road. Failure to do so can
cause loss of control over the vehicle,
leading to an accident with serious per-
sonal injury or death.
