Install Quicksilver flushing attachment (or equivalent) over water
intake openings in gear housing.

Connect hose between flushing attachment and water source
valve.

With drive unit in normal operating position, partially open water
source valve (about 1/2 maximum).

Place drive in NEUTRAL, idle speed position and start engine.
Avoid possible engine damage.
•
Do NOT run engine continuously at idle rpm.
•
Do NOT run engine above 1500 rpm.

Slowly advance throttle until engine reaches 1300 rpm
(+/–100 rpm).
Watch temperature gauge on dash to ensure that engine does
not overheat.

Operate engine with drive in NEUTRAL, for about 10 minutes or
until discharge water is clear.

Slowly return throttle to idle speed position.

Stop engine

Shut off water and remove flushing attachment.
