Choose one of the two connection
possibilities.
Connection with S VIDEO cable and
audio cable (L/R) produces the best
quality.
Connect the external device to the AV3 input sockets on the front side of the unit.
Recording to VHS
Insert a video cassette with intact write-protection tab.
VHS
Press REC MODE to select the recording mode.
In stop mode, use INPUT SELECT to select the input channel AV3.
Press PLAY . At the point where you want to begin recording, press PAUSE .
Press REC.
Start the playback on the external device.
Press PAUSE
to start recording.
Use STOP
to stop recording.
Recording to HDD/DVD
RAM
If you activated the write-protection, deactivate it.

Press REC MODE to select the recording mode.
In stop mode, use INPUT SELECT to select the input channel AV3.
Start the playback on the external device.
Press REC at the point where you want to begin recording.
Use STOP
to stop recording.
Press PAUSE
to pause recording. Press the button to resume recording.
Recording of bilingual programmes

If [M1] and [M2] are selected on the connected device, you can choose the
audio mode during playback.

Select [M1] or [M2] on the connected device. You cannot select the audio mode
during playback.
If the output signal of the external device is an NTSC signal, set the TV system in the
SETUP menu to [NTSC].
This unit cannot record signals from PCs.
