4-7-5. RX PROMPT VIDEO Level Adjustment

Note:
Use a TRIAX cable (300 m
maximum) for this adjustment.
The CA-590/590P shall have
been adjusted properly.
Measuring instruments: Waveform monitor, Video
signal generator (10 STEP
signal)
Extended board:
TR-133B board
Preparation:

The RX PROMPTER output terminal must be output from
RET-2/PROMPTER BNC on the CCU rear panel.
. S2 (TX ← REM → RX)/TR-133B board (CCU) →
"RX"
. S1 (MODE AUTO/MAN)/DM-140 board (CCU) → "F"
(AUTO)
. Set S301 on the DM-139B board of CA-590/590P to
"TX"
. PROMPT OUT / Rear panel → Disconnect 75 Z
termination.
. Input 10 STEP signal from the video signal generator to
the PROMPTER terminal on the CA-590/590P side
panel.
Adjustment procedure:
. Adjust 1RV902 (PROMPT LEVEL) on the TR-133B
board so that RET-2/PROMPTER video level becomes
1.00 ± 0.03 V p-p.
Note:
Perform the following after the adjustment is completed.
. Set S2 (TX ← REM → RX) on the TR-133B board to
TX side with POWER ON and then to REM.
. Re-set S301 on the DM-139B board of CA-590/590P to
"RX"
. Disconnect the BNC cable from the PROMPTER
terminal.
