With the tool in the closed position insert a power load strip into the cavity in the base of the rubber handle and push in until the flat of your finger tip is firmly against the handle recess. The first power load is now aligned with the chamber.

    INSPECTION / TOOL MAINTENANCE It is important to clean a Powder Acuated STEP 2 Tool weekly. The carbon build up from the explosive material can decrease the effective- ness of the tool and if not removed, cause long term damage to the tool. CAUTION: The tool may become hot during operation.

Insert the barrel’s assembly into the main housing and screw the knurled collar by hand. (Do not over tighten). 3. After re-assembly check that the barrel slides properly in the handle.
