Cleaning the filters in the water
inlet
The machine has the following filters to
protect the inlet valves:
– in the free end of any water inlet hose
– in the water inlet valve(s) for connect-
ing the hose(s) to the machine.

To clean the filter in the inlet hose:

^ Turn off the stopcock.
^ Carefuly unscrew the knurled cou-
pling connecting the inlet hose to the
check valve which is attached to the
stopcock (see "Plumbing").
^ Remove the rubber seal from the re-
cess.
^ Using pointed pliers, take hold of the
plastic filter bar, remove the filter and
clean.
30
^ Put the filter and seal back in the re-
verse order and reconnect the hose
to the check valve. Turn on the stop-
cock and check the connection is
watertight.
The filters in the inlet hose should be
checked and cleaned approx. every 6
months.
Inspect the inlet hose as it is subjected
to high pressure while the machine is in
operation. The hose should be re-
placed if there is any sign of damage
such as stress cracks in the surface.
If replacing the inlet hose only use a
hose tested to withstand a pressure of
at least 70 bar. Miele original hoses are
tested to this standard.
