If the vent configuration is installed incorrectly the vent may cause the flames inside the stove to lift or "ghost" Ð a dangerous situation. Inspect the flames after installation to insure proper performance. If the vent configuration is correct, yet the flames are lifting or ghosting, shut off gas to the stove and contact the dealer for information on remedying the problem.
This knob controls the speed of the internal convection blower that pushes the heated air into the room. ? If using a remote control or thermostat, the On/Off Switch must be left "ON". Turning the On/Off Switch "OFF" will keep the stove off always.
Starting The Pilot Flame The pilot flame is required to ignite the main burners (it also plays a safety role). It should be left on once lit. It will stay lit unless the gas control valve is turned to "OFF". However, the pilot will go out if the gas is shut off or if the stove malfunctions.
+ Blue Flames will occur on the stove when it first comes on. After fifteen minutes the flames will turn a more realistic yellow and orange color. ? Certain installations use a remote "wall switch" to turn the stove on and off. If this is the case, leave the ON/OFF switch "ON".
Normal Operating Sounds Blower This heater uses a blower to push heated air into the room. You will hear the sound of air movement that increases as the speed is increased.
