The system prompts for the number of decimal places for the point value if a float sensor
type is defined.

Factors used to convert signals that the field panel uses for analog points into engineering
units that represent point values. Slope and intercept constants are determined by the type
of input or output device that is represented by the point, and whether the point is a physical
point or a virtual point. For points in the Open Processor with Trane Driver, refer to the
Chapter 5 - Applications. For other point types, see the Calculating Slopes and Intercepts
section of the System 600 APOGEE Field Panel User's Manual (125-3000)for more
information.

the intercept must be -320 for any analog points mapped from the Trane system
except for points found in FLN3, Devices 30 and 31.

virtual LAI and LAO points are calculated based on the resolution and range of values
required for the point. These constants determine a straight line which maps the
point value to a digital value range of 0–32,767. The slope is the required resolution
for reporting point information over a network. A slope of 1.0 and an intercept of 0.0
is used frequently (based on a resolution of 1.0 and a range of 0–32,767). For more
information, refer to the Siemens Building Technologies Modular Building Controller
and Remote Building Controller Owner's Manual (125-1992).

This is used to set the point value when an analog point is first viewed by the field panel
(either by being defined or on a return from power loss).
!:LUHýUHVLVWDQFH
This is used to adjust a point intercept value to compensate for long runs of wire.

The following attributes are used when defining digital points:
!,QYHUWýYDOXHýõ<î1ô
This attribute defines how a command should be applied to an output. If a point has an
inverted value, an ON command de-energizes the point and an OFF command energizes the
point. Conversely, a point with a value that is not inverted energizes when an ON command
is received, and de-energizes when an OFF command is received.
