our FlipStart includes an external screen, called
the InfoPane, built into the lid. You can use FlipStart
InfoPane to view e-mail messages, calendar informa-
tion, and contacts from Microsoft Office Outlook.
Note:
FlipStart InfoPane only displays information.
You cannot reply to messages, delete items, or
otherwise modify items. If you need to perform
actions such as these, just open the lid, and after
Windows wakes up, you can use Microsoft Office
Outlook to perform the desired action.
How does InfoPane work?
InfoPane communicates with Windows to access
your information. InfoPane stores a 'snapshot' of your
Microsoft Office Outlook information so that you can
look up your e-mail and calendar items while Win-
dows is turned off, helping to save the battery life of
your FlipStart.
Using InfoPane
When you close the FlipStart, Windows automatically
goes into Standby mode and InfoPane turns on. Use
the Jog Dial and Escape button to navigate items in
InfoPane.
