Storing Your Motorcycle

Wash gently using a soft sponge and plenty
of water.
To remove stubborn stains, use diluted
detergent and rinse thoroughly with plenty of
water.
Avoid getting petrol, brake fluid, or
detergents on the instruments, panels, or
headlight.
Exhaust Pipe and Muffler
When the exhaust pipe and muffler are painted,
do not use a commercially available abrasive
kitchen cleaning compound. Use a neutral
detergent to clean the painted surface on the
exhaust pipe and muffler. If you are not sure if
your exhaust pipe and muffler are painted,
contact your dealer.

Storing Your Motorcycle
If you store your motorcycle outdoors, you
should consider using a full-body motorcycle
cover.
If you won't be riding for an extended period,
follow these guidelines:
Wash your motorcycle and wax all painted
surfaces (except matte painted surfaces).
Coat chrome pieces with rust-inhibiting oil.
Lubricate the drive chain.
Place your motorcycle on a maintenance
stand and position a block so that both tyres
are off the ground.
After rain, remove the body cover and allow
the motorcycle to dry.
Remove the battery (
discharge.
Charge the battery in a shaded, well-
ventilated area.

If you leave the battery in place,
disconnect the negative
