7. ELECTRONIC DATA SHEET
The Electronic Data Sheet, or EDS file, is a standard DeviceNet file which
defines the configurable parameters of a device. It is used in conjunction
with DeviceNet configuration software which uses the EDS file to guide a
user through the configuration process of a particular device.
One such configuration package is Allen-Bradley's DeviceNetManager.
This is a software product which allows a user to commision nodes on a
network and configure specific devices. To use this software, you need the
EDS file for the A200E/FR-EPN. This file is available as a separate
product.
