4.3 CIRCUIT ADJUSTMENT

balancing the circuitry. When any of the following parts are replaced, the circuitry must be balanced
again by adjusting this variable resistance:
R14, R15, R13, C8, and VRl
If the circuitry is not correctly balanced in this way, the CPU A/D converter fails to function normally
and printer operation is affected.

4.3.1 Adjustment Process

Attach a digital multimeter to the check terminal TP2 (Vref voltage) on the BOARD ASSY., MAIN (CO62
MAIN BOARD). Turn on printer power and turn variable resistor VRl until a reading of 4.74 1 V is
obtained.
