MOVING LOG SPLITTER BY HAND
TOWING LOG SPLITTER
• Lock beam in horizontal position.
• Lock beam in horizontal position.
• Attach coupler to Class I or higher hitch with 2" ball.
• Lock jack stand in down position.
Latch securely.
• Do not attempt to move log splitter up or down a
slope by hand.
• If coupler adjustment is needed, refer to owner's manual.

DANGER
CONTROL VALVE
1. Do not use your hands to dislodge log from wedge.
2. Keep hands away from wedge, end plate, partially split
wood and moving parts.
3. If the wedge moves FORWARD with the control handle
REVERSE
released, STOP USE IMMEDIATELY, valve may be damaged.

Fully retract wedge, lodged wood
will be automatically removed.
LUBRICATE BEAM BEFORE EACH
USE. REFER TO OPERATOR'S
MANUAL FOR DETAILS.
• Raise jack stand and latch securely in full up position.
• Attach safety chains to tow vehicle.
• Do not tow faster than 45 mph.
• High speed may cause loss of control.
• Check local, state and federal requirements before
towing on any public road.

OPERATOR'S INSTRUCTIONS
VERTICAL
HORIZONTAL
1. READ THE OPERATOR'S MANUAL
2. Place log splitter on flat dry solid ground and block wheels.
3. Lock in either the Horizontal or Vertical position.
4. Start engine, set throttle to maximum speed and allow
hydraulic fluid to warm up.
5. Place the log against the end plate.
6. Stabilize log with your left hand (as shown) on its side
opposite the beam, when needed. Remove your left hand
when wedge just contacts the log.
7. Move control handle FORWARD with your right hand to split
log. Release control handle to NEUTRAL to stop wedge.
8. Move control handle to REVERSE to fully retract the wedge
and dislodge the log.
Operation Of This Equipment May Create Sparks That Can Start Fires Around Dry Vegetation. A Spark Arrestor May Be Required.
The Operator Should Contact Local Fire Agencies For Laws Or Regulations Relating To Fire Prevention Requirements.

DANGER
1. Read operator's manual.
2. Keep hands away from wedge, end plate, partly split wood and moving parts.
3. Stabilize log on its side opposite the beam, never on ends between log and
wedge or log and end plate.
4. Only one operator permitted. Adult who loads and stabilizes log must be
person operating the control handle
5. Keep bystanders, helpers and children at least 10 feet away.
6. Never check for leaks with your hands. High pressure fluid can escape through a
pin hole leak and cause serious injury by puncturing the skin and causing blood poisoning.
7. Operate the log splitter on flat, dry, solid ground and block wheels.
8. Wear protective work gloves, safety shoes and safety glasses, watch your footing.
9. Never operate under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
10. Do not refuel a hot or running engine.
