4 Turn the Camera On
Press the power switch.
• The power-on lamp (green) lights, and then the
monitor is turned on (the power-on lamp turns
off when the monitor is turned on.)

Power Saving Function (Auto Off}
If no operations are performed for a while, the monitor

will be turned of( the camera will enter standby mode, and the power-on lamp will blink. If no
operations are performed for another three minutes, the camera will turn off automatically.
• While the camera is in standby mode, the msmitor is turned on again when any of the
following buttons is pressed.

• The camera enters standby mode in about five minutes (default setting) when you are
using shooting mode or playback mode.

5 Setting the Display Language, Date, and Time
Dialogs for language selection and camera clock setting are displayed the first time
the camera is turned on. Use the multi selector to select the settings.
