1 2 Cause
There is a flat tire or substantial loss of tire
pressure.
Light up in yellow:
Tire Pressure Monitor not initialized.
The small lamp flashes yellow and then stays
on, the large lamp lights up in yellow:
Tire Pressure Monitor failed. Punctures are
not indicated.
Lights up in red:
Transmission limp-home program active
with restricted range of gears, possibly with
reduced acceleration.
Gears can be engaged without depressing
the brake.
Lights up in yellow:
Automatic selector lever locked:
The selector lever is locked in position P with
the engine running or the ignition switched
on and the brake depressed.
The brake signal is malfunctioning: a gear
can be engaged without depressing the
brake.
Lights up in red:

How to respond
Carefully bring the car to a stop.

Check the inflation pressure and
reset the system, refer to
page 74.
Have the system checked.

You can continue your journey,
but moderate your speed and ex‐
ercise due caution. Have the sys‐
tem checked immediately.
Always depress the brake to en‐
gage a gear.
Have the system checked as soon
as possible.
Override the selector lever lock,
refer to page 51.
To engage a gear while the vehicle
is at a standstill, always depress
the brake. Before leaving the ve‐
hicle, move the selector lever to
position P and switch off the en‐
gine.
