T. The buttonhole sensor does not work.
1. Make sure that the contact of the buttonhole sensor is correctly inserted and check its
function according to the operating manual.
2. Try a new buttonhole sensor or check it according to the service manual.
3. Check the cable from the lamp glass to the circuit board or change tha lamp glass
4. Check the cable connections between the circuit board and the LCD-board.
5. Try a new circuit board (P.48).
6. Try a new LCD-board (P.44).
U. The machine always chooses buttonhole measuring when sewing
buttonholes.
The presser foot and its information flash at normal sewing on the left display.
1. Check that the cable connection (to the buttonhole sensor) between the lamp glass and
the circuit board are correct. Replace the lamp glass if necessary.
V. The side motion of the machine does not work at all.
1. Check the pre-setting of the step motor of the side motion (P.42).
2. Check the sideways setting of the feeding mechanism (P.43 ).
3. Check the smooth running of the feed dog in the stitch plate (P.34 ).
4. Check that the cable connection between the step motor and the circuit board is correct.
5. Try a new side feeding mechanism (P.56).
X. Marks full speed on the display at side motion stitches.
1. If only the side motion function is influenced, replace the memo-chip (P.45).
2. If the speed can't be regulated, replace the circuit board.
3. If the speed can change, replace the memo-chip.
Y. The machine sews straight stitching only backwards.
1. If there are not any further problems, replace the memo-chip (P.45).
Z. All symbols flash on the diplay.
1. Replace the memo-chip (P.45).
2. Replace the LCD-board (P.44).
