    Central Processing Unit: CPU The mainboard supports AMD ® 462 pin package. The mainboard uses a CPU socket called Socket A for easy CPU installation. When you are installing the CPU, make sure the CPU has a heat sink and a cooling fan attached on the top to prevent overheating. If the function is enabled and any attempt to write data into this area is made, BIOS will display a warning message on screen and beep.

    PNP/PCI Configurations This section describes configuring the PCI bus system and PnP (Plug & Play) feature. PCI, or Peripheral Component Interconnect, is a system which allows I/O devices to operate at speeds nearing the speed the CPU itself uses when communicating with its special components.

CPU Warning Temperature This item is used to specify a thermal limit for CPU. Spread Spectrum When the motherboard’s clock generator pulses, the extreme values (spikes) of the pulses creates EMI (Electromagnetic Interference).
