RAID controller selection

You can choose either the LSI Software RAID Configuration Utility or the Intel
Matrix Storage Manager as the default utility to create RAID set(s). See 5. Intel
3420 SATA port S/W RAID setting on page 4-6 for details.
6.1.4

Setting the RAID item in BIOS

You must enable the RAID function in the BIOS Setup before creating RAID set(s)
using SATA HDDs. To do this:
1. Enter the BIOS Setup during POST.
Go to the Main menu > IDE Configuration, and then press <Enter>.

Set the Configure SATA as item to [RAID].

4. Save your changes, and then exit the BIOS Setup.

Setup.
