Congratulations on your purchase of the Streamlight
light. As with any fine tool, reasonable care and maintenance will provide years of depend-
able service. Please read this manual before using your Vantage
safety and operating instructions and should be saved.

Batteries
WARNING: FIRE, EXPLOSION, BURN HAZARD-
USE ONLY RECOMMENDED LITHIUM BATTERIES
Inferior quality lithium batteries can cause fire, explosion, burns. We recommend the use
of only Streamlight or Panasonic, Sanyo, Energizer and Duracell batteries in our products.
Use of other batteries or mixing brands and old and new batteries may risk leakage, fire,
explosion and serious personal injury. To further avoid this risk for any brand lithium battery,
do not recharge, misuse, short circuit, disassemble, improperly store or discard, expose to
high temperatures.
USE ONLY THOSE BATTERIES SPECIFICALLY
RECOMMENDED FOR USE IN THIS PRODUCT.

Battery Installation/Removal
Orient the helmet clamp 90 degrees to the body
to allow the battery door latch to operate.
1. Unclip the battery door latch
(use a coin if necessary).
2. Slide discharged batteries from the Vantage
3. Insert fresh batteries observing polarity.
NOTE: The Vantage
and will not light if the batteries are
inserted incorrectly.
4. Hold the battery door/switch at an angle and place the small tab on the
bottom of the battery door/switch into the slot in the Vantage
5. Firmly push and hold the battery door/switch closed against the Vantage
NOTE: It may be necessary to rest the battery door/switch against a fixed
object for leverage.
6. Swing the battery door latch over the door and snap it into place.
(Hint: Apply pressure to the middle of the latch, not to the free end.)
