Other Product Information

Limited warranty

Franklin Covey Company warrants to the original consumer or other end-user purchas-
er that this product is free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of
one year from the date of purchase. During the limited warranty period, and upon proof
of purchase, the product will be repaired or replaced (with the same or similar model)
at Franklin Covey's option, without charge for either parts or labor. The replacement
part may be new or refurbished and "like new" product.
This warranty shall not apply if the product is modified, tampered with, misused or
subjected to abnormal working conditions. This warranty does not cover physical dam-
age to the surface of this product, including cracks or scratches on the LCD touchscreen.
This warranty does not apply when the malfunction results from the use of this product
in conjunction with accessories, products or ancillary or peripheral equipment, and
where it is determined by Franklin Covey Company that there is no fault with the prod-
uct itself. This warranty also does not apply to the failure of any communication service
you may subscribe to or use with this product. Data backup is presumed to be the re-
sponsibility of the owner of this product. Franklin Covey Company is not responsible
for data that may be damaged or lost during the servicing of this product.
Repair or replacement as provided under this warranty is the exclusive remedy of the
purchaser. This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied, including
any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular use or purpose, and
Franklin Covey Company shall in no event be liable to purchaser for indirect or conse-
quential damages of any kind or character. Some states do not allow the exclusion of
limitation of incidental or consequential damages or allow limitations on how long an
implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations or exclusion may not apply to you. This
warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary
from state to state.

Year 2000 Warranty

Palm Computing, Inc. (the original manufacturer of your Palm organizer) warrants that

the following date-data sensitive Palm Computing products, namely the Pilot 1000,
Pilot 5000, PalmPilot™ Personal Edition, PalmPilot Professional Edition, Palm III™
and Palm V™ connected organizers, as well as all other Palm Computing products
based on the Palm Computing platform software as of July 1, 1998 and later, including
® ®
the companion desktop software for Microsoft Windows and MAC OS platforms,
™
will continue performing properly with regard to such date-data on and after January
1, 2000, provided that all other products used by Customer in connection or
combination with the Palm Computing product, including hardware, software, and
firmware, accurately exchange date-data with the Palm Computing product. Palm
Computing makes no certification regarding the Year 2000 status of any other Palm
