Macintosh compatibility
You can connect your organizer to your Macintosh using the Palm
MacPac, available from Franklin Covey (sold separately — see "For
Additional Palm IIIe Organizer Accessories" on page 191 for ordering
information). If you do this, you will not be able to use Franklin
Planner software to synchronize with the Palm IIIe, but will need to
use the Palm Desktop software.

Upgrade Information

If you already own a Palm Computing
recommend that you install the version of Franklin Planner software
that comes with your new Palm IIIe organizer into the same folder as
your current version of Franklin Planner software or ASCEND 97.
When you install the new version in the same folder as the previous
version, all your data is preserved. If you use another personal
information manager (PIM), you still need to install Franklin Planner
software in order to add HotSync Manager, conduit software, and
other features of Franklin Planner software to your computer.
You can perform HotSync operations in exactly the same way, so you
can quickly synchronize your data with your new organizer. Just
remember to synchronize your old organizer with Franklin Planner
software before you synchronize with your new organizer, so you
have all your latest information.
