Introduction
These fires incorporate a flame effect, which can be used
with or without heating, so that the comforting effect may be
enjoyed at any time of the year. The flame effect is provided
by a low wattage motor and two 25 watt lamps. Using the
flame effect on its own, therefore, requires little electricity.
The manual controls are located behind the firebox door. The
remote control is packed separately in the carton. A Choice
of 1kw or 2kw thermostatically controlled heat output is pro-
vided by the fan heater, which is concealed beneath the unit.
These models are designed to be free standing and are nor-
mally positioned against a wall.
Please note: Used in an environment where background
noise is very low, it may be possible to hear the fan which
operates the flame effect. This is normal and should not
be a cause for concern.

Bulbs stopped working bought replacement but still not working

The replacement bulbs in the Dimplex Rectory REC20R may not be working due to the following reasons:

1. Incorrect Bulb Type – The heater requires 240V, 25-watt E14 SES clear candle lamps. Using a different type or wattage may cause them to not function.
2. Loose Installation – The bulbs may not be screwed in properly. Ensure they are securely fitted but not overtightened.
3. Faulty Bulbs – The new bulbs could be defective. Try testing them in another device to confirm they work.
4. Power Issue – Check if the appliance is properly connected to power and switched on.
5. Damaged Lamp Sockets – The sockets may be damaged or have a poor connection. Inspect them for any visible defects.
6. Internal Electrical Issue – If none of the above resolves the issue, there may be an internal wiring fault preventing the bulbs from functioning.

If the problem persists, contacting the supplier or a qualified technician is recommended.
