CHARLY OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

18. Shutdown

Take the following precautions whenever the scooter is not used for two weeks or more:
• Charge the batteries for 16 hours.
Pull the plug-and-socket connector (fig. 18, item 7) to disconnect the batteries. Then, turn
the master switch and the lights ON until all LEDs go out. Turn the master switch
OFF again.
• Adjust the tyre pressure to 300 kPa ([3 bars (42.3 psi)].
• Clean CHARLY, cover it and store it in a dry and frost-protected room.
• Before using the scooter again, connect the battery plug-and-socket connector to the
vehicle's plug-and-socket connector, and charge the battery pack for 16 hours.
• In the event of longer storage periods without using the scooter, it is necessary to
recharge the batteries stored at no more than 20 °C after a maximum period of 3
months.
•
Any accessory battery pack must be treated the same as the complete vehicle as far
as storage is concerned.
