14. Handlebar, saddle and seat support fastenings

DANGER!
An unsafe hinge fastening affects CHARLY's roadworthiness.
Check the tight fit of the clamping levers for:
- Steering rod fastening, figure 9, item 3
- Seat support, figure 12
- Seat pillar, figure 11.
Each clamping lever must be pushed to the final position, exerting a
strong manual force (swivel by 90
Swivel the steering rod to its locked position. Put the fastening element (3) to the
fastening position, and tighten the lever in arrow direction. The lever should point
backwards, i.e., against the direction of travel. To loosen the fastening, turn the lever
against the arrow direction.
Turn the saddle to the riding position, adjust the seat pillar to the correct height, and
press the clamping lever to its limit position.
Readjust the mirror.
Set the adjusting screw (4) of the seat pillar fastening such that clamping screw and
clamping lever (1) are a on a straight line.
To lock the seat strut, turn the clamping lever (1) in the direction (5).
