WEARING SEAT BELTS WHEN
PREGNANT
WARNING: Pregnant woman should
always wear seat belts to protect
themselves and their unborn child.
WARNING: Never place anything
between you and the seat belt to
cushion the impact in the event of an
accident.
The lap portion of the belt should be worn
as low as possible across the hips, not the
waist. Position the diagonal part of the belt
between the breasts and to the side of the
abdomen. Ensure that the seat belt is not
slack or twisted.

seat belts, contact your doctor.

SEAT BELT REMINDER

The driver's seat belt includes a buckle
sensor, to detect when the buckle is
latched.
If the driver's seat belt is not
fastened, an indicator light on the
instrument cluster will illuminate.
In addition, if the seat belt is unfastened
when the vehicle is in Drive mode and the
vehicle's is moving at a speed greater than
5mph (8 km/h), an audible chime will sound
for 15 seconds as a belt reminder.
