Symptom
You hear
unusual
noises.
The
web-based
utility cannot
be accessed.
Media is
wrinkled.
The date and
time is not
correctly
maintained
on the
printer.

Cause
The printer is not
level.
The tray is not
installed correctly.
There is a foreign
object stuck inside
the printer.
The PageScope Web
Connection Adminis-
trator's password is
incorrect.
The media is moist
from humidity or hav-
ing water spilled on it.
The media feed roller
or fuser unit is defec-
tive.
Unsupported media
(wrong size, thick-
ness, type, etc.) is
being used.
Envelopes are being
printed with the fuser
separator levers in
the plain paper posi-
tion.
The backup battery
has reached the end
of its service life.
Solution
Place the printer on a flat, hard, level
surface.
Remove the tray that you are printing
from and reinsert it completely into the
printer.
Turn off the printer and remove the
object. If you cannot remove it, contact
Technical Support.
The PageScope Web Connection
Administrator password has a 6-char-
acter minimum and a 16-character
maximum. For details of the Page-
Scope Web Connection administrator
password, refer to the magicolor 2550
Reference Guide on the Documenta-
tion CD-ROM.
Remove the moist media and replace it
with new, dry media.
Check them for damage. If necessary,
contact Technical Support with the
error information.
Use KONICA MINOLTA-approved
media. See "Media Specifications" on
page 58.
Before printing envelopes, place the
fuser separator levers in the envelope
position.
Replace the backup battery. For
details, see "Replacing the Backup Bat-
tery" on page 96.
