To install a replacement spring on a Husqvarna YTH22V42 riding lawn mower:
1. Ensure the tractor is on a level surface and engage the parking brake. 2. Lower the attachment lift lever to its lowest position. Use caution, as it is spring-loaded. 3. Remove the retainer spring and washer from the front link and disconnect it from the mower. 4. Go to either side of the mower and disconnect the mower suspension arm from the chassis pin and the rear lift link from the rear mower bracket by removing the retainer springs and washers. 5. Remove the clutch cable spring from the idler arm. 6. When reinstalling, make sure the mower side suspension arms are pointing forward before sliding the mower back under the tractor. 7. Reconnect all components in reverse order.
Use caution when handling spring-loaded parts and ensure all connections are secure.
