SERVICE REMINDER/HOUR METER Service reminder shows the total number of hours the engine has run and flashes to indicate that the engine or mower needs servicing. PURGE TRANSMISSION CAUTION: Never engage or disengage freewheel lever while the engine is run ning. To ensure proper operation and performance, it is rec om- mend ed that the transmission be purged before operating tractor for the first time. This procedure will remove any trapped air inside the transmission which may have de vel- oped during shipping of your tractor. -

V-BELTS Check V-belts for deterioration and wear after 100 hours of operation and replace if necessary. The belts are not ad just able. Re place belts if they begin to slip from wear. TRANSAXLE COOLING The transmission fan and cooling fins should be kept clean to assure proper cooling. - Page 17 IN-LINE FUEL FILTER (See Fig. 17) The fuel filter should be replaced once each season. Riding lawn mower won't move forward nor reverse. Engine starts fine. Found a loose broken spring on top of the battery. Bought a replacement spring but unsure how or where to install it.
To install a replacement spring on a Husqvarna YTH22V42 riding lawn mower:
1. Ensure the tractor is on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
2. Lower the attachment lift lever to its lowest position. Use caution, as it is spring-loaded.
