The parameters in this chapter control bar code decoding characteristics.

Focus Mode

Parameter # F0h, A6h

Select the Focus Mode to control the working range of the digital scanner. If Far Focus is selected, the digital

scanner is optimized to read at its far position. With Near Focus, the digital scanner is optimized to read at its near

position. Smart Focus toggles the focus position after every frame.

NOTE The default value for DS3408-DP (DPM) digital scanners is Near Focus.
