NOTE:
The TV will automatically turn itself off after
approximately 2 hours if you do not operate the TV
after turned on by on timer function.
Setting the Sleep Timer
The Sleep Timer is especially useful if you want the
TV to turn itself off after a selected period of time.

From the APPLICATIONS menu, press  to
select Sleep Timer.

Press the Number buttons (0-9) to enter
the amount of time until the TV turns off .
Alternatively, press  or  to adjust the time in
blocks of 10 minutes up to 12 hours.

Press EXIT to start the timer.
To cancel the Sleep Timer, enter all zeros for the
step 2.
Using the Continuous Viewing Timer
To prevent watching TV continuously for long
periods of time, you can set a message to appear
that suggests that the viewer takes a break. This
is especially useful for stopping children from
watching TV for long periods of time.

From the APPLICATIONS menu, press  to
select Continuous Viewing Timer.

Press  or  to select 60 min, 120 min, 180
min or Off .
When the set time has passed, a message
suggesting the viewer takes a break appears.
Press OK, BACK or EXIT to clear the message.
NOTE:
• If the power is turned off before the set amount of
time has passed, the timer is reset.
• If the set amount of time is changed, the timer is
reset.
Using the Auto Format
When Auto Format is On and the TV receives a
digital broadcast or a true HDMI signal picture, it
will automatically be displayed in the appropriate
format according to the signal information,
irrespective of the TV's settings.

Auto Format.

4:3 Stretch
Using the TV's features

Press  or  to select On or Off .
Activating the 4:3 Stretch
When 4:3 stretch is activated, this function will
switch 4:3 format programmes into a full screen
picture.

to select 4:3 Stretch.

NOTE:
This feature is not available when Auto Format is set
to Off .
Activating Blue Screen
When Blue Screen is set to On, the screen will turn
blue and the sound will be muted when no signal is
received.
• The Blue Screen setting is not available for DTV
programmes.

From the PREFERENCES menu, press  or  to
until Blue Screen is selected.

NOTE:
External inputs do not mute the sound.
Panel Lock
Panel Lock disables the buttons on the TV. All
buttons on the remote control can still be used.

select Panel Lock.

Press  or  to select On or Off .
NOTE:
When Panel Lock is On, a reminder will appear when
the keys on the TV are pressed. If the standby key is
pressed, the TV will switch off and can only be brought
out of standby by using the remote control.
Setting the Automatic Power Down
The TV will automatically turn itself off (standby)
after approximately 4 hours, if you do not operate
the control buttons on the remote control or on the
TV control panel.

From the PREFERENCES menu, press  or 
until Energy Saving Settings is selected, and
then press OK.

Down, press  or  to select On or Off , and
then press EXIT.
