Chain saw performance

of the chain and guide bar. Main-
tenance instructions for the chain are summarised
below.

When filing the chain, use a round file of
diameter (5.5 mm).

refiling. Touching up is the free-hand filing carried
out in the forest.

For refiling, the chain should be removed from
the guide bar and held in a hand vice. File holders
and gauges should be used in conjunction
with
refiling.
A filing angle of 35" should be used. The file
should be held at an angle of 35" – see arrow
in Fig. Hold the file straight.
Zum Grundfeilen sollte die Kette von der Schiene
abgenommen und in einen Feilkloben eingespannt
werden. Zum Grundfeilen sollten Feilenhalter und
Schablonen benutzt werden.

in einem Winkel von 359 zu fuhren – siehe den
Pfeil in der Abbildung. Die Feile gerade fuhren.
