a. Blade guard assembly installation
The PowerMiter IV is fully assembled with the exception of the Blade Guard Assembly
and table height. All Diamond Tech power tools are product tested before shipping.
1. attach the Blade Guard Shield (a) to the Blade Guard arm (B) using the screw
provided (FiG.1). For extra strength, a dab of glue may be applied before fastening
the two components together.
2. Slide the metal Blade Guard hinge (c) into the slot located at the rear of the
Blade Guard assembly, opposite the Blade Guard Shield. attach by placing a
washer to one side of the arm and threading the bolt through the opening in the
washer and Blade Guard arm. add remaining washer and locking washer, fasten
in place with wing-nut (FiG.2).
3. attach Blade Guard assembly to the cutting Table (D). align the bottom hole of
the Blade Guard hinge with the Support Bracket at the rear of the cutting Table.
make sure the Guard hinge is on the right side of the Support Bracket. attach
by placing a washer to one side of the arm and threading the bolt through the
opening of the washer and Blade Guard arm. add remaining washer and locking
washer, fasten in place with wing-nut (FiG.3).
B. setting table Height
Depending on the depth of the material being cut, an adjustment of the cutting table
height may be necessary.
1. Loosen the height adjustment Knob, located on the right side of the saw motor,
opposite the power cord (FiG.4).
2. adjust by moving the table upward or downward to preferred height. Proper height
should be 1/8" to 1/4" above the top of the materials being cut. The lowest position
of the table allows for 3/4" of blade to be exposed. The maximum thickness of
materials being cut should be no more than 1/2" - 5/8".
3. Secure with the height adjustment Knob.
c. Blade replacement
warning: Before replacing blade, please make sure the saw is turned off and is
unplugged from the outlet.
1. Remove the cutting table by loosening the height adjustment Knob, located on
the right side of the motor opposite the power cord.
