RCA VCR Limited Warranty
What your warranty covers:
•
Any defect in materials or workmanship.
For how long after your purchase:
•
90 days for labor char g es.
•
One year for parts.
The warranty period for r ental units begins with the first r e ntal or 45 days fr o m date of shipment to
the rental firm, whichever comes first.
What we will do:
•
Pay any Authorized RCA VCR Service Center the labor char ges to repair your VCR.
•
Pay any Authorized RCA VCR Service Center for the new or , at our option, r efurbished replacement parts
required to repair your VCR.
How you get service:
•
Take your VCR to any Authorized RCA VCR Service Center . To identify your nearest Authorized RCA VCR
Service Center, ask your dealer , look in the Y ellow Pages, or call 1-800-336-1900.
•
Show the Authorized Service Center Repr e sentative your evidence of pur c hase date or first r e ntal.
•
Pick up your VCR when r e pairs are completed.
What your warranty does not cover:
•
Customer instruction. (Y our Owner's Manual clearly describes how to install, adjust, and operate your
VCR. Any additional infor mation should be obtained fr om your dealer.)
•
Installation and related adjustments.
•
Signal reception problems not caused by your VCR.
•
Damage from misuse or neglect.
•
Cleaning of video/audio heads.
•
Batteries.
•
A VCR that has been modified or incorporated into other pr oducts or is used for institutional or other
commercial purposes.
•
A VCR purchased or serviced outside the U.S.A.
•
Acts of nature, such as but not limited to lightning damage.
Product Registration:
•
Please complete and mail the Pr o duct Registration Card packed with your VCR. It will make it easier to
contact you should it ever be necessary. The r eturn of the card is not required for warranty coverage.
How State Law relates to warranty:
•
This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you also may have other rights that vary fr om state to
state.
If you purchased your VCR unit outside the United States:
•
This warranty does not apply. Contact your dealer for warranty infor mation.
Service calls which do not involve defective materials or workmanship are not covered by
this warranty. Costs of such service calls are the sole responsibility of the purchaser.
