Center High-Mounted Stoplamp
(CHMSL) (Hatchback)
To replace a CHMSL bulb on a hatchback model,
do the following:
1. Open the liftgate. See Liftgate on page 99
for more information.
2. Pry off the trim from the liftgate and remove
the two screws.

3. Remove the bulb socket from the lamp
housing.
4. Remove the bulb by pulling it straight out of
the bulb socket.
5. Install the new bulb.
6. Reverse Steps 1 through 3 to reinstall the
lamp assembly.
