RECOMMENDATION(S)
• Improper installation or tightening.
• Check loads.
• Check thermostat.
• Check water temperature with thermometer.
• Air in fuel system or clogged fuel filter
element
• Check fuel injectors
• Replace valve spring
• Replace governor spring
• Fill crankcase to proper level.
• Drain and fill crankcase with correct oil.
• Replace filter. Check bearings, oil pump,
and relief valve for wear.
• Oil consumption decreases after break in.
• Use proper viscosity oil.
• Check for leaks in lines around gaskets
and drain plug.
• Service air cleaner.
• Have dealer check back pressure.
• Use correct fuel for temperature.
• See your dealer.

• Warm up engine to normal operating
temperature.
• Remove and check thermostat.
