monitor setting
We recommend you adjust your
monitor for the highest available
resolution. To do so:
1 Click the right mouse button on the
desktop and select Properties.
2 Select the Settings tab.
3 Set Color Palette to 16 bit or higher.
4 Move the slide control under Desktop
area to the right, to the highest reso-
lution available; 800 x 600 is recom-
mended. Click OK and close windows
as necessary.

Note: Intel recommends that you set
your video accelerator card to the
basic setting when connected to a
USB device, for smoother, more reli-
able communication with your printer.
This setting does not slow down your
system in any way. To do this:
1 Double-click the My Computer icon
on your desktop.
2 Double-click the Control Panel folder.
3 Double-click the System icon.
4 Select the Performance tab.
