Fireplace Requirements

Figure 2 shows the minimum size requirements for the type of fireplace used.

* This is the distance the insert protrudes from the fireplace opening plus the required 16" of hearth
extension.

Hearth Requirements

 Must extend 16" in front of the insert and 8" on both sides
 Must be non-combustible and at least .018" thick (26 gauge)
