Removing the electronic journal slot

This section provides information needed for removing the electronic journal slot assembly and the
electronic journal slot card. It is not necessary to remove the fiscal logic card from the tray to remove or
install the electronic journal slot card. However, if you are replacing the fiscal logic card, the electronic
journal slot assembly which includes the slot card and mount must be removed and set aside.

Removing the electronic journal slot assembly

The fiscal logic card does not have to be removed from the tray to remove the electronic journal slot
assembly from its mount on the logic card. See Figure 13 for more information.
To remove the electronic journal slot assembly, complete the following steps:
1. Remove the fiscal tray from the printer.
2. Remove the program memory B (Figure 10 on page 33) (see "Removing the program memory
assembly" on page 40 for information).
3. Push the slot assembly support A (Figure 13) toward the front of the logic tray. To push on the slot
|
assembly support you will have to place your finger between the support and the I/O probe shield (the
|
| shield is not shown in Figure 13 for clarity).
4. Rotate the back of the assembly up while lifting it up and off the logic card.
