POCKET MOD Electric Scooter Troubleshooting Guide
Symptom(s)
Sprocket on rear wheel is aligned properly
Remove battery/motor cover to
check for loose connection(s)
Unit does not stop when
brakes are applied
around the brake lever(s)
Check brake cable(s) for damage
Throttle lights stay on when power
Double check the power switch
switch is turned off
rubbing against the rear wheel
Unit makes grinding noise
when in use
Lift rear end up & manually
Unit runs, but rear wheel
barely moves
Should spin 3-4 times w/no resistance
Turn power off & manually turn gear on
motor shaft with your fingers
Chain does not rotate freely
Turn power switch off; remove chain from
turn power on & apply throttle
Troubleshoot
Check chain tension
Chain is too loose/too tight
Rear wheel out of alignment
with gear on motor shaft
Gear on motor shaft is bent
Inspect chain tensioner
Chain tensioner broken
Loose connection(s)
Check for loose wire(s)
Power switch is in off position

Check that brake is not
Brakes are rubbing
Dirt & debris found in chain and/or chain
Inspect chain
Chain tension too tight
