Connect Humidifier (If So Prescribed)

NOTE: For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 5.1 - FIGURE 5.4.
NOTE: Fill humidifier with distilled water to the level indicated by
the manufacturer. (For Platinum 5, XL - recommended humidifiers
are: Invacare 3260, 003-40, or 006-40. For Platinum 10,
recommended humidifiers are high flow: 7900-10, 7900-25).
WARNING
DO NOT overfill humidifier.
Replace the humidifier cap and securely tighten.
DO NOT reverse the oxygen input and output
connections. Water from the humidifier bottle will travel
through the cannula back to the patient.
