Step 2.2 –

Connect the power supply and switch on the drive.

Your LaCie Drive includes two types of external power supplies: an external power supply (Option A) and a USB Power
Sharing Cable (Option B). Use Option A when you are using your drive near an electrical outlet, and use Option B when you
do not have access to an electrical outlet and wish to draw power from your computer.

Insert the round end of the external power supply into the port on the rear of your drive.

2 Plug the large end of the external power supply into a properly grounded electrical outlet.

Slide the switch to the "EXT" position.
Warning! Use only the AC adapter supplied with your specific LaCie drive. Do not use a power supply from another
LaCie drive or another manufacturer. Using any other power cable or power supply may cause damage to the device
and void your warranty. Always remove the AC adapter before transporting your LaCie drive. Failure to remove the
adapter may result in damage to your drive and will void your warranty.
