Before installing the latest Kramer firmware version on a VS-201YC unit, do the following: 1. Connect the RS-232 DB9 rear panel port on the VS-201YC unit to the Null-modem adapter and connect the Null-modem adapter with a 9-wire flat cable to the RS-232 DB9 COM port on your PC (see section 5.1). -

- Page 20 VS-201YC Communication Protocol NOTE 4 - The reply to a "REQUEST" instruction is as follows: the same instruction and INPUT codes as were sent are returned, and the OUTPUT is assigned the value of the requested parameter. The replies to instructions 10 and 11 are as per the definitions in instructions 7 and 8 respectively.
