Overview

Intelligent Printer Data Stream (IPDS) is a bi-directional print data stream defined by IBM®. IPDS is a
sequence of information transmitted between a host computer and IPDS printer as directed by a print
driver, such as IBM's Print Service Facility (PSF). In addition to delivering print description information,
the IPDS data stream performs printer control functions and allows the Xerox FreeFlow® Print Server
to share job status information with the host.
The Xerox FreeFlow® Print Server IPDS software is configured by means of a Graphical User Interface
(GUI), featuring pull-down menus, tabs, and icons from which to manage the Xerox FreeFlow® Print
Server IPDS functions. Xerox FreeFlow® Print Server IPDS supports the TCP/IP and Online Channel
interfaces.

Features
